Basic Description:
As a Loan Officer Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Senior Mortgage Banker(s) (SMB) by helping clients through the home loan process. Daily you will be communicating with clients/partners/vendors and processing data to analyze documents needed for loan qualification. Your attention to detail and ability to keep things on track will be key to making sure our clients have a seamless experience. Responsibilities include working closely with the SMB to streamline workflows, prioritize tasks, and keep everything moving efficiently. Communication, meeting deadlines and following protocol will be essential to your success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely follow-up on critical documents from clients to keep everything on track for a timely closing.
- Create, implement, and manage procedures to boost team efficiency and provide the tools needed for success, focusing on pipeline progression and workflow.
- Gather, analyze, and organize all necessary documentation, uploading and labeling them into the Encompass e-folder.
- Handle data entry, facilitate credit pulls, and run DU/LP and GUS through our LOS to keep the process moving smoothly.
- Schedule appointments and organize business-related events to keep things running smoothly.
- Enhance relationships with clients and strategic partners through thoughtful marketing documents.
- Work closely with our entire Flat Branch Operations team (Processing, Underwriting, Closing, Post-Closing, Shipping, and Secondary) to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and implement creative marketing strategies to grow our business, strengthen client relationships, and support the Senior Mortgage Banker in building strong partnerships with realtors and clients.
- Manage and optimize Top of Mind (including data entry, campaign management, emails, phone calls, letters, and other essential tasks) to keep us connected with our clients and partners.
- Take on additional duties as needed to support our team’s success.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Mortgage Loan Experience: Required; we need someone who knows the ins and outs of the industry.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities are crucial.
- Attention to Detail: A sharp eye is essential; every detail matters.
- Tech Savvy: Experience with Encompass and openness to technology is a plus.
- Self-Motivated: You are proactive and can take the initiative without needing constant direction.
- Quick Learner: Eager to learn and adapt quickly to new challenges.
- Organizational Skills: Must be organized and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Phone/Computer: Most of your day will consist of working on the computer and talking on the phone. There is opportunity to attend loan closings and client/partner events.
- Occasional Travel: Minimal travel may be required throughout the year.
- Personal Finance: Responsible with personal finances and understanding of budgeting. We aim to be strong role models in helping our clients make sound financial decisions.

Salary : $38,000 - $48,000
