Basic Description:
The Loan Officer Assistant will assist & support their Senior Mortgage Banker(s) (SMB) in the origination of residential real estate loans. This support role is critical in facilitating data processing, along with analysis of documents necessary to qualify and submit client files to the Operations Department. The candidate will be working hand in hand behind the scenes with the SMB in following protocol while offering and developing a timely & efficient workflow to maximize and prioritize every aspect of origination support activities. Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines for each task is imperative.
This is a part time, entry-level position working approximately 20 hours a week, Monday through Friday 2:00 – 6:00pm CST. In office attendance is required so the candidate must reside within a reasonable driving distance from the Joplin, MO location.
Responsibilities:
- Pull applications for pre-workup
- Coordinate, gather, and send initial documents & requests
- Review file notes and follow through on tasks
- Own & follow the loan process from application to closing to ensure every aspect of the loan file is compliant with federal and state regulations.
- Review and oversee client and file notes within the company software programs
- All other duties as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Loan Assistant experience a plus, but not required
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft products a must
- Extreme attention to detail
