Flat Creek Family Dentistry is a state-of-the-art practice with an amazing team, patient base and an outstanding reputation in the community.
We are seeking a highly skilled (part-time / full-time) Dentist who is looking for a great work-life balance. Someone who is motivated, hard-working, and committed to providing quality care that meets the expectations of our patients. The Dentist will be responsible for anything regarding the health of the mouth, including the teeth, gums and dental tissues.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Manage dental hygienists
- Examine patients and diagnose dental conditions
- Prepare patients for treatment (e.g., by applying oral sedation or anesthesia)
- Conduct oral screenings to identify diseases and infections
- Removing tooth decay and plaque
- Advise patients on treatment plans and oral hygiene
- Accurately interpret x-rays and other diagnostic tests
- Refer patients to specialists if necessary and analyzes medical records and reports
- Update patient records and maintains confidentiality
- Promote good oral health and help patients apply preventative dental care
- Identify tooth decay and replace cavities with fillings
- Design and fit dental prosthetics, such as bridges, crowns, and dentures
- Conduct tooth extractions and root canal procedures
- Performs surgeries on diseased tissues and bones
- Prescribes medication as needed
- Provides good oral health and preventative dental care
- Follow all guidelines, regulations, and standards
Qualifications and Skills:
- Collaborates with dentists, dental hygienists, and specialists
- Communicates effectively, speaking multiple languages is a plus
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Experience with dental equipment and tools
- Attention to detail
- You are self-driven and will take initiative to improve not only yourself but also practice processes
- You understand that case acceptance doesn’t necessarily happen today but rather over time and only with a quality relationship in place
- You love people and enjoy building and developing lasting relationships with patients and coworkers and have excellent, professional chair-side manner
- A Doctor of Dental Medicine or Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from an accredited university is required
- An active dental license in the state is mandatory
- At least 2 of experience is strongly preferred
