SUMMARY:
This position assists in providing services and supervision for the consumers at the Alternative Day Activities Site. This will include assisting in training and organization of tasks for consumers, assuring that work and non-work activities is completed to specifications and quality expected. Performance of duties reflects Flathead Industries’ mission of “Creating Opportunities for People with Disabilities”.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supervise Alternative Day consumers, as well as Clearance store individuals, as needed. This
will include individuals with challenging behaviors and/or need for a high level of supervision in the community.
2. Participate in the routine operations of the Alternative Day Site (work at the Clearance Store, non-work activities options at the Alt Day Site) Duties also include providing supervision of consumers during their day (8AM-2PM), teaching activities such as social skills building, as well as providing transportation to/from work or day activity sites.
3. Ability to pass and maintain Flathead Industries training sequence, which includes First-Aid, CPR, MANDT(management of non-aggressive adults with disabilities), Accuflo E-Learning, PSP 101, Foundations, Chaperone and/or Customer service training. In addition must obtain State mandated Medication Certification, and College of Direct Supports.
4. Assist in assessing, implementing, documenting and evaluating objectives/ actions,
including behavioral programs. Collect and record program data for consumers. Record and
analyze periodic case notes.
5. Complete work/day activities shift logs and follow supervision protocols for specific individuals.
6. Assist with providing safety training to consumers. Observe all safety rules and follow safe job
procedures. Maintains clean and safe working environment in facility to which assigned,
participate in regular facility maintenance schedules, fire drills and follows and ensures
compliance to corporate safety policies and procedures.
7. Communicate information effectively, both verbally and in writing.
8. Assist in maintaining working relationships with families, guardian and advocates of the
consumers, with neighborhood residents, with co-workers, and with representatives of public
service agencies.
9. Exhibit and practice good work habits, including honesty, punctuality and the ability to organize
and manage time and information. Ability to work independently and as a team member.
10. Provides exceptional customer service as shown by respectful and friendly interactions and a
commitment to providing satisfaction with each job or retail experience.
11. Assist in maintaining compliance of assigned facility and services to standards prescribed by
Flathead Industries, the State Department of Public Health and Human Services, and any and all
licensing agencies.
12. Perform basic mathematical computations to balance petty cash fund, count money and calculate
raw data summaries. Operation of computer, e.g. documentation, word processing, spreadsheet usage, general email and internet accessing.
13. Operate corporation vehicles to provide transportation to consumers, as needed.
14. Ability to manipulate, lift or carry up to 25 lbs. and lift to/from floor to/from shoulder level.
15. Other related duties, as assigned
Requirements
1. The position requires education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and
completion of occupationally-specific training.
2. Ability to pass criminal and other background checks.
3. Valid Montana Driver's License, maintenance of a good driving record, and insurability for
operation of company vehicles.
4. Ability to successfully perform all responsibilities shown above.
5. Ability to establish and maintain professional; effective, harmonious, working relationships.
6. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders, including but not limited to
staff, consumers, family members, medical professionals and community members.
7. Ability to show critical thinking and positive decision-making skills.
8. Ability to safely and frequently lift, move or otherwise handle items weighing 50 pounds.
9. Knowledge of basic computer skills.
