Summary:
This Position requires proven leadership skills, experience in retail sales, merchandising, display, marketing, and advertising. This is a fun, fast-paced work environment where the manager works side by side with staff to provide excellent customer service and produce a high standard of work.
Beginning Hourly Wage: $25.00
Work Schedule: 40 hours
Reports to: Vice President of Operations
Direct Reports: Assistant Manager, Store Associates
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- This position will supervise all the functions of the receiving, processing, and retail sales of the Flathead Industries Thrift Store located in Missoula.
- This person will oversee and participate in the processing, sorting, pricing, tagging, and sales of donated goods with respect to the standards set forth by Flathead Industries and the Vice President of Operations.
- This position must communicate exceptionally well with management and co-workers in the other stores.
- Help create and maintain the stability and reputation of the store and Flathead Industries.
- Is responsible for achieving financial objectives by adhering to an annual budget.
- Is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales goals established by the administration.
- Is responsible for the training and supervision of eight full-time staff
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- This position prefers education and experience equivalent to an associate’s degree with experience in retail management and sales.
- You must have exceptional customer service skills.
- You must be able to safely lift or manipulate 0 to 50 pounds.
- You must possess excellent communication skills including reading, writing, speaking, and computer and cash register skills.
- You must possess exemplary work ethics and habits including, but not limited to honesty, loyalty, punctuality, and the ability to organize time and information.
Job Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, employee frequently communicates with customers, donors, co-workers and consumers. During a normal 8-hour shift, employee will be talking, hearing, standing up and moving at least 90% of the time. Bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching are common motions to be expected. Walking surfaces are concrete and both the walking and working surfaces are normally even. Exposure to sights, sounds, odors, and physical or verbal aggression may be encountered.
