What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist/Medical Aide position at Flathead Valley Medical Services, Ltd?
We are looking for a flexible, reliable, and detail-oriented Phlebotomist/Medical Aide to grow with our company.
Job duties include:
1. Collect specimens according to established protocols. This includes, but is not limited to: blood, urine, saliva, drug screens, biometric screenings, and paramedical exams.
2. Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, and preparing for storage and shipment per laboratory requirements.
3. Perform administrative and clinical support tasks including cleaning, filing, answering phones, email communications, and other duties as assigned.
4. Complete accurate patient identification and medical documentation.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Work experience: Formal or on-the-job training as a phlebotomist.
Skills: Competent in performing routine phlebotomy (blood draws) and other body fluid specimen collections, specimen processing and handling. Other skills will be trained on the job.
Technology skills: Competent in computer operations, including web-based applications and integrations, electronic health record documentation and tracking, and medical device operations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
