This position is a 5 day work week.
No nights. No weekends. No holidays. No on call.

This is a great opportunity with an established pharmacy that provides both retail prescriptions, compounded human and veterinary prescriptions as well as wellness consultations. If you are a licensed pharmacy technician with one year community pharmacy experience, with a willingness to learn, a can-do attitude, and ability to work in a patient focused setting we would love to speak with you.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN JOB PURPOSE:

  • Supports pharmacist by stocking, assembling, and distributing medications.
  • Data Entry of New Prescriptions
  • Customer Service in person and via phone
  • Ability to troubleshoot insurance billing issues

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS:

  • Individual must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Experience preferred but will train the right candidate
  • PTCB or other certification required
  • Licensed in the state of Colorado
  • Compounding Pharmacy experience a plus
  • Spanish Speaking a Plus
  • Computer Literate to learn new systems

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN JOB DUTIES:

  • Assists health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone; answering questions and requests; referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
  • Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders and verifying receipt; removing outdated drugs.
  • Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions; preparing labels and calculating quantities.
  • Maintains records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions. Generates revenues by calculating, recording, and issuing charges.
  • Ensures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments. Prepares reports by collecting and summarizing information.
