Position Summary
Flatirons Habitat for Humanity is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to oversee the quality, compliance, and efficiency of operations at our Modular Home Factory. The QA Manager will play a critical role in ensuring all homes are manufactured to meet industry standards, partner expectations, and Habitat for Humanity’s mission-driven objectives. This role includes responsibility for quality assurance processes, accurate record-keeping, and effective materials purchasing to support efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance (QA)
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA processes and procedures to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with building codes, safety standards, and Habitat for Humanity guidelines. Ensure that procedures outlined in the Quality Assurance Manual are followed.
· Ensure that compliance meets Colorado state certification requirements for modular building
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and finished modules to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Provide training and support for factory staff on QA standards and best practices.
- Investigate and address defects or non-conformance issues, documenting corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with the Factory Manager and design team to implement product improvements and ensure alignment with customer expectations.
Record Keeping
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of quality inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
- Document production metrics and quality control measures for reporting to leadership.
- Track certifications, warranties, and other compliance documentation to ensure factory standards are met.
- Prepare and present reports on QA performance, including trends, issues, and recommendations for improvement.
Materials Purchasing
- Oversee procurement processes to ensure the availability of quality materials in alignment with production schedules and budget constraints.
- Evaluate vendors and negotiate contracts to secure cost-effective and reliable material supplies.
- Manage inventory systems to minimize waste and ensure adequate stock levels for uninterrupted operations.
- Coordinate with the key personnel to track purchasing expenditures and ensure adherence to budget guidelines.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or modular home construction, with leadership responsibilities preferred.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety standards, and modular construction techniques.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with inventory management or QA software.

Compensation:
Salary $75,000 - $90,0000, commensurate with experience
