Role and Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure all packages and parts are received in good condition, free of damage
- Ensure trucks are unloaded and loaded in a timely manner
- Become familiar with truck schedules and plan breaks and lunch accordingly
- Follow up on discrepancies (i.e., damaged and/or missing packages, failed deliveries, etc.)
- Distribute all packages and parts throughout the dealership in a timely manner
- Express and overnight packages take priority (FedEx Express envelopes, priority parts order, etc.)
- Ensure all parts are scanned, organized, delivered, and stocked in a timely manner
- Parts are scanned as soon as they are received, special orders are filled and delivered
- Special order parts are delivered immediately (FedEx, UPS, and contract drivers)
- Daily ordered parts are accurately counted and stocked in appropriate bins
- Outgoing packages are prepared, checked for accuracy, and are ready before daily truck pickups
- Ensure all parts department areas are kept clean (sweeping, wiping down bins, emptying trash cans, etc.)
- Pull parts to complete customer orders
- Deliver parts orders to various businesses in a timely manner
- Ensure outgoing deliveries are prepared and checked for accuracy
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, and walk
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a motor vehicle record compatible with Flatirons’ insurance company’s criteria
Additional Notes
- 1-hour unpaid lunch breaks are allotted each shift
- Extended lunch breaks and time adjustments must be pre-approved
- The Parts Manager must approve all overtime before reaching 40 hours
