POSITION TITLE: Secondary Teacher / Possible Coach
LOCATION: Flatonia Secondary
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with FISD Teacher Pay Schedule
LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: 187 days possible coaching duties
POSITION SUMMARY: Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to
help them fulfill their potential for academic success
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited College
Experience: Successful classroom teaching experience preferred
Licenses/Other: Hold valid Texas Teaching Certificate
ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES:
Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the Texas Essential Knowledge
and Skills
Present subject matter according to guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency
Must be familiar with classroom management techniques
Maintain all records and documentation required by TEA and local administration
Work cooperatively and constructively with other faculty, staff and administration
Perform other duties as assigned by campus administration
Knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures
Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules
Ability to instruct and supervise student athletes
Ability to pass U.S. Department of Transportation alcohol and drug test and annual physical
Excellent organizational, communication, an interpersonal skills
