Duties

- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any changes in health status.
- Perform vital sign checks and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Uphold resident rights by fostering an environment of dignity, respect, and privacy.
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety for both the worker and the resident.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following hygiene protocols and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Experience working with people with disabilities is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to lift and assist residents as needed, including heavy lifting tasks.
- Basic cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals for residents.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is a plus.
- Familiarity with resident rights and advocacy principles.
- Strong patient monitoring skills to identify changes in health or behavior.
