Summary
The Pricing Analyst will work with the Business Development team, Proposal manager, along with Contracts and Operations departments in developing a price and cost analysis in support of our bid response.
Essential Functions

- Responsible for developing and maintaining financial planning models based on organizational needs.
- Performs analysis that will be used to develop strategy, monitor business performance aiding in driving bid response pricing/margin decisions.
- Compiles all monthly statistics and performs various statistical analyses and reports for internal and corporate reporting.
- Works with managers to gather, define and document business and technical requirements for best- practice reporting requirements.
- Adheres to HCI core values.
- Reviews RFP/RFQ’s to determine the scope of the bid requirement and cost elements to be considered.
- Develops detailed, customized pricing models incorporating all relevant cost elements.
- Composes detailed pricing narratives supporting cost estimates.
- Prepares equitable adjustment requests and pricing modifications in multiple year contracts.
- Prepares pricing models for IDIQ contracts
- Interacts with subcontracts personnel to ensure all subcontractors pricing is relevant and accurate
- Responsible for accurate tracking and storage of pricing back-up data.
- Provides support as required for DCAA/DCMA audits.
- Provides pricing support for the Facility Support and Proposal team as required.
- Acts as custodian of pricing records for Facility Support team and other departments as needed.
- Handles confidential and non-routine information.
- Provides written monthly, quarterly, and annual assessment of performance vs. budget.
- Gathers, evaluates and communicates data-driven analysis of financial and non-financial data in support of the Facility Support team and others, to include monthly group dashboard/scorecard information, if needed.
- Prepares reports which summarizes, and forecasts Facility Support teams’ business activity.
- Prepares ad hoc reporting analysis for the Facility Support, including cost analysis, revenue analysis, cost/volume analysis, and other special projects.
- Suggests methods to improve our bid response pricing for the Facility Support team.
- Facilitates the maximization of resources to archive productivity and profitability.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasionally evening hours may be required.
Travel
Minimal travel required for this position. Occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
Experience
- Knowledge of Cost/Project Accounting.
- Ability to read/understand contract documents.
- Ability to understand vendor quotes.
- Ability to read drawings and Bill of Materials. Language Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers or customers.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such us fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
- Three to five (3 to 5) years of experience in the federal contracting pricing field. Substitution of relevant education and/or experience for stated qualifications may be considered.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in one area.
- Must have advanced working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database 1 presentation software (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
Education
Bachelor's degree in business administration or business-related area.
