Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team at Flavor Hills Myrtle Beach. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that all dishware, glassware, cookware, and utensils are cleaned and sanitized promptly and efficiently. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and helping to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dishwashing: Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines and manual cleaning methods as needed.
• Kitchen Support: Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including cleaning floors, countertops, and kitchen equipment as necessary.
• Trash & Recycling: Properly dispose of trash and recycling, ensuring that waste areas are kept clean and organized. Break down and dispose of boxes and recyclables according to restaurant procedures.
• Organization & Stocking: Organize and store cleaned items in designated areas. Ensure that all dishwashing supplies, such as soap and sanitizer, are stocked and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
• Maintenance: Regularly inspect the dishwashing machine and equipment for proper functioning, and report any issues to the kitchen manager for timely maintenance and repair.
• Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals, safe lifting practices, and following restaurant guidelines for cleanliness and sanitation.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure that all dishware and equipment are available as needed. Support the culinary team with additional cleaning or organizational tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• No prior experience required, though previous experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work in a hot and humid environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
