Position Overview:
As a Server at Flavor Hills Myrtle Beach, you will be the face of our restaurant, providing attentive and personable service to our guests. You will be responsible for delivering a memorable dining experience through excellent customer service, extensive product knowledge, and a commitment to hospitality. Our servers play a key role in ensuring that each guest feels welcomed, valued, and well cared for during their time with us.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guest Service: Greet guests warmly, provide prompt and attentive service, and create a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the Flavor Hills experience.
• Order Taking: Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests, making recommendations and offering additional information as needed.
• Menu Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu, including daily specials, ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens, to confidently answer guest questions and make informed suggestions.
• Order Delivery: Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages to guests.
• Table Maintenance: Regularly check in with guests to ensure satisfaction, refill beverages, clear empty plates, and address any needs or concerns promptly.
• Upselling and Suggestive Selling: Utilize upselling techniques to enhance the guest experience and maximize sales, such as suggesting appetizers, desserts, or premium beverage options.
• Check Management: Prepare and present guest checks, handle payment transactions accurately, and thank guests for their patronage.
• Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the dining room, service stations, and side work areas. Assist with setting up and breaking down the dining area as needed.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other servers, hosts, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and smooth restaurant operations.
• Compliance: Adhere to all restaurant policies and health and safety regulations, including alcohol service laws and responsible beverage service guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Previous serving experience in a high-volume restaurant environment is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, professional appearance, and a commitment to providing outstanding hospitality.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
