What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Planner position at Flavor Materials International?
Overview:
Production Planner is responsible for the Planning of finished goods to support the business to ensure an optimal level of on time performance. Key objectives will be achieving/improving/exceeding targeted service levels and managing supply and demand through a balanced inventory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Batch Creation for Liquids; Powders, Emulsions; Intermediates and keys etc. (including managing RM shortages and date changes; formula revisions; re-work material)
- Batch Closing (for raw material consumption)
- Batch Allocation (Release and Allocate raw materials to batches for production)
- Open Order Management (Production review)
- Internal Communication – with CS; Production; Purchasing and Quality Control
- Label Printing (Product and GHS)
- Master Data Maintenance: Update and maintain system info as applicable to Planning.
- Determine optimal levels for finished goods and restocking points to maintain appropriate inventory.
Education, Work Experience and Other Requirements:
- HS Diploma
- APICS Certification (Not required, but a plus)
- Manufacturing Knowledge and Planning Experience of 3 Years
- Vicinity/Microsoft Navision (Not Required, but a plus)
- Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Requirements: Demands expected of a typical office environment. The ability to perform in a manufacturing area as needed is rare but may be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
