Facility Manager - Sharonville, OH
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Project Engineering
- Manage capital projects, contributing to the local engineering strategy and capex plan by providing managers with project feasibility information
- Develop project scopes, cost estimations, and evaluate vendor/contractor bids
- Work with accounting department to establish new vendors and credit terms
- Assist with design of new process equipment
- Report and track project status and budgetary control for approved projects
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement improvements
- Support the VP of Manufacturing and Plant Manager to implement lean manufacturing principles in order to drive out waste. Help build a culture of continuous improvement and establish programs to increase uptime. Work closely with Operations management for repairs and improvements identified by plant personnel
- Develop SOPs for all processes within the facility and update as needed
- Use statistics and statistical process controls to confirm plant operations, capability, reliability and quality. Develop effective countermeasures when problems or nonconformance are uncovered.
- Identify quality related issues that could affect processes and work with Quality Director to engineer out potential issues
Facility Management
- Responsible for all outside vendors and contractors as they relate to maintenance, engineering, fire safety, first aid, uniforms, custodial and grounds-keeping services
- Management of facility card reader and security camera systems
- Direct and outline changes in facility policy, program, as needed to maintain efficiency and compliance
- Point of contact for IT related issues
Manage Maintenance Department
- Manage, coach and develop a maintenance team
- Ensure preventative maintenance (PM) and systems management over various process equipment types (mixing, extraction, distillation, concentration, material transfer, filtration)
- Schedule both internal and external work; maximizing planned down time and reducing unplanned downtime
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems on mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical systems and PLCs
- Identify key mechanical replacement parts needed and develop and maintain inventory of the parts
- Ensure all work is performed safely, identifying hazards in daily and specialized processes
- Address repairs to operational equipment immediately when identified, directing smooth operational repair within the facility
TFE Process
- Review formulas and new processes for manufacturing, quality, safety, and commercial viability
- Propose and implement process and formula revisions to improve as applicable
- Lead and monitor scaleup and first-time productions to ensure product can be produced
- Coordinate/oversee the manufacturing of products by working directly with planning, production, quality and warehousing departments
- Maintain all pertinent batch records for TFE related products
Local EH&S Liaison
- Maintain environmental regulatory permits and programs including annual submittals for air and community right to know
- Manage all hazardous and nonhazardous waste activities
- Serve as a point of contact for external agency officials, community members, vendors and other contacts on EH&S matters that affect business interest
- Work closely with EHS Director on identified projects and safety concerns
- Conduct safety audits with the Director of Safety and plant personnel
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position supervises up to 5 individuals on the Maintenance team.

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing / batching liquid, powder and spray dry environment preferred
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- In-house fork truck certification is required
- Forklift operation skills preferred

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to food-grade fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. Working in the warehouse may, on occasion, expose this individual to non-hazardous fumes, and noise from equipment such as forklifts and air compressor.
Working in the production rooms may expose this individual to noise from blenders, mixers, pumps, and forklifts.
