Job Title: FLAVOR TECHNICIAN I VALENCIA, CA
Summary- Work in a team-oriented laboratory environment and assist in providing quality compounded flavor samples for customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed. Training will be provided, and other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Operate basic benchtop laboratory equipment such as balances and hotplates
- Compound samples using weights and measures with consistent accuracy and precision
- Maintain a clean work environment and observe all laboratory protocols
- Exercise organizational skills and attention to detail
- Operate, understand and interpret analytical test equipment such as densitometer, refractometer, pH meter
- Perform basic mathematical calculations, including percentage calculations and conversion between imperial and metric units of measure
- Understand basic computer software operating systems
- Complete assigned work in a timely manner and use time efficiently
- Arrive at work on time and ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent
- Document all required sample information according to company protocol
- Communicate effectively any issues that arise within projects
- Apply common sense to understand and execute a series of instructions
- Follow all laboratory safety protocols and report any issues to the Lab Manager or VP of R&D
- Maintain a professional and pleasant working relationship with team members
