Summary A successful candidate will serve as an on-site Production Planner to ensure production plans are in place to meet customer demands (internal and external), soon enough to enable partners in other organizations (Procurement, Quality, other sites, ...) to meet their timing requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Create Work Orders for a mostly make to order environment and flag raw material issues to Purchasing department.
- Manages and sets production schedule based on customer due dates, material availability, internal needs and with product shelf-life parameters.
- Experience in ERP systems, (SAP, JDE, SAGE, etc.) required.
- Works closely with Customer Service, Production, Purchasing, Shipping / Receiving, R&D, and QC departments. Timely and efficient communication with other departments expected.
- Proactively align production plans with facility projects to achieve effective results.
- Drive planning / scheduling continuous improvement activities as needed.
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
