We are looking for a Dishwasher to join our kitchen staff and maintain cleanliness around our restaurant. Dishwasher responsibilities include collecting used dishes, plates and utensils, loading washing machines and stacking washed items appropriately. If you want to kickstart your career in the restaurant industry and be part of the behind-the-scenes operations, we’d like to meet you. Note that this role requires working in shifts weekday during evenings or weekends. Ultimately, you’ll help provide an unforgettable dining experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Collect used kitchenware from prep and kitchen areas
  • Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)
  • Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
  • Set up workstations before meal prep begins
  • Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
  • Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and make manager aware of inventory for restocking orders when necessary
  • Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
  • Remove garbage regularly
  • Perform various maintenance clean-up functions, such as general cleaning & sanitizing, or any other related duties assigned by Management while ensuring that all safety and sanitation standards are maintained.
  • Performing cleaning, sanitization and disinfectant tasks, such as station, kitchen, bathrooms, floors post events, and other areas as needed
  • Monitor vendors and contractors working in the building, giving them access to the building
  • Ensures that the building is securely locked up at the end of the evening.
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly; as requested
  • Must wear uniform or other approved attire
  • Must keep appearance neat, clean and orderly according to the DHS and DOD standards
  • Proactively seek ways to contribute to the overall success of the business operations
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Work experience as a Dishwasher (Preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines
  • Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed
  • Time management skills
  • Attention to detail and sanitation rules
  • Availability to work in shifts, during weekends, evenings and holidays
  • High school diploma is a plus
  • Food Safety License is a plus

Availability

Candidates MUST be available to work a flexible schedule: Monday - Fridays, Weekends & Holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
