We are looking for a competent Mobile Diesel Technician / Roadside Service person to perform onsite and roadside preventative maintenance and repairs to heavy duty trucks and trailers to help keep our customers' fleets moving. Our commitment to providing efficient and reliable truck maintenance and repair services ensures that our client's trucks and trailers remain in top condition, allowing them to operate safely and meet high standards. As a family-owned business, we take pride in our work, our partnerships, and our dedicated team members. Wages will vary with experience. Work schedule will be Thursday - Monday, 4 PM - 12 AM. Overtime will be as required. Uniforms provided. Health Insurance & Phone stipend also provided.
- Perform onsite scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and perform repairs in a mobile/field environment.
- Perform Emergency Road Service Calls
- Diagnose and repair various types of truck equipment including but not limited to the following: Electrical/Brake/Cooling Systems, Starters/Alternators, Air Conditioning Systems, Fuel Filters, Engines, Power Steering, Landing Gear, Mudflap/Mudflap Brackets, Tire Changes, Jump Starts and more.
- Use basic hand tools, precision instruments, as well as power tools, welding equipment, and jacks.
- Obtain parts from shops stock room or approved local vendor as necessary for the repairs to be performed.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most standard repair times.
- Maintain positive communication with suppliers, customers and colleagues. As well as maintain company issued service truck by conducting safety checks and keeping inside & outside well-kept and clean.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Diesel Technician on tractor and trailers.
- Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and their drivers.
- Proficiency in use of personal mobile device and navigation app.
- Willingness to work nights/weekends and work outdoors/in the elements at customers yard or roadside location.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently, multi-task and apply initiative. Have a positive attitude, be safety conscious and self-motivated.
- In order to be covered on the company automotive insurance policy, you must be 23 years of age or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record within the last 3 years.
