Position Overview:
The Project Controls TPM owns end-to-end project management of data center campus infrastructure deployments in North America. They are a key member of a multi-disciplined team of engineers and technical program managers that plan, schedule, coordinate and direct the activities of customers, vendors and Fleet Data Centers teams including data center engineering, construction and commissioning, procurement, and supply chain, legal and finance. They are responsible for on schedule and on budget delivery of data center campus infrastructure. Additionally, the Project Controls TPM is responsible for identifying and escalation risks by collaborating with campus planning program managers and internal stakeholders. The Data Center Senior Project Controls TPM reports to the Director of Data Center Planning and Delivery, Fleet Data Centers.

Additionally, the Project Controls TPM is responsible for identifying and escalation risks by collaborating with campus planning program managers and internal stakeholders. The Data Center Senior Project Controls TPM reports to the Director of Data Center Planning and Delivery, Fleet Data Centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule management: Create and maintain execution level design, construction, commissioning and procurement schedules, and analyze schedule performance. You are responsible for ensuring the project is delivered on time.
- Cost management: Develop cost estimates, analyze costs, and monitor budgets. Develop budgets and estimates for the various activities involved in the DC build plan. Tract and analyze cost spend activities. You are responsible for ensuring the project is delivered on-budget.
- Risk management: Identify, escalate risks and develop contingency plans. Design and implement mechanisms that reliably catch and escalate delays, rework, and other risks to meeting our customer commitments. Your project plans and schedules anticipate and account for failures and delays with pre-determined mitigation plans.
- Reporting: Generate reports to compare actual performance to budget and Influence trade-off decisions on timeline optimization and cost savings.
- Drive accountability with construction leaders that own the quality, schedule, and cost of physical data center infrastructure deployment, and coordinate all critical infrastructure disciplines including civil, architectural, structural, mechanical cooling, fire systems, acoustics and electrical including high voltage (HV), medium voltage (MV), and low voltage (LV) systems.
- Collaborate and innovate on tools and build process innovations that improve delivery reliability, quality, sustainability, and efficiency, and reduces cost.
- Develop mechanisms to ensure that contracted resources (General Contractors, design consultants, etc.) deliver work to meet duration and quality targets.
- Develop annual capital plans and budgets tied to infrastructure and capacity delivery. Execute draw downs on that budget including capital allocation requests and other investment and ROI-driven business cases. Financial analysis of design and construction work including change orders, purchase orders, and invoicing.
- Minimum 10-15 years of increasing scope and responsibility for physical infrastructure delivery including planning, construction, and commissioning of critical facilities infrastructure.
- Experience developing various cost estimation metrics like ETC, EAC, CPI, Budget variance, ROI etc.,
- Experience developing detailed construction management and project schedules using tools like eBuilder, Procore, MS Projects, Primavera P6 etc.,
- Development of capacity planning and project planning, budgeting, and tracking tools and processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Data center engineering and operations service procurement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or other technical discipline.
