What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare Floater position at FLEET Early Learning Station?
At FLEET Early Learning Station, we offer a traditional learning environment that focuses on kindergarten readiness in a loving, educational, and fast-paced atmosphere. We are seeking a Floater to add to our amazing early education team. Ideal candidates will excel in customer service, love working with children, and enjoy working in a close team environment.
Schedule will be 4-5 days per work week approximately 10:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

Our students are encouraged to thrive as they work toward kindergarten readiness. A one-of-a-kind curriculum is provided to the teachers with no stone left unturned. Teachers are given an opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of their students. The floater position will assist the facility in various ways throughout their workday. Including but not limited to:
- Provide support during workload spikes.
- Cover shifts for absent employees when needed.
- Assist with school midday departures for morning students.
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily tasks for students.
- Perform clerical duties, when requested.
- Provide emergency personal care services (restroom breaks) to teachers.
- Report changes in circumstances that could affect safety
- Assist in kitchen, toy sanitization, recreation, office, classroom cleanliness and checklists, maintenance, grounds, and special projects.
- Develop and maintain a productive rapport with children and families.
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure that the school fosters an environment that is inviting and nurturing for every child.
- Ensure communication with management is provided as needed.
- Adhere to the KDHE licensing regulations as well as company policies.
- Maintain annual Kansas Trainings as required by KDHE.

Please note: Hourly wage is determined by education, qualifications, position, and experience working in a preschool or daycare setting. Approximate hourly pay for this position is between $12.50-$13.50 per hour.
