Schedule(s) - Dock Worker, Full-time, Set schedule, 4 12-hour days. Start and end times TBD
Job Responsibilities :
Complies with all safety requirementsPlace securement binders, chains, straps, bunks and slip matsLoads and unloads trailersMove materials within the warehouseKeep yard and equipment tidyElectronically scan products using a warehouse management systemPackage or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)Ensure damaged products are identified and removed when receivedRead work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needsUses computer to enter recordsMaintains inventory recordsOperate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse equipment (where applicable)Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisorMust be willing to work outdoors (majority of the work is outdoors)Qualifications :
No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.High school diploma or equivalent preferredProficient reading skills and ability to follow directions requiredAbility to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills requiredFlexible to work overtime preferredAbility to work in non-climate-controlled conditions requiredRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the jobAbility to work independently, customer service, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, and time management skills requiredWillingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location requiredComplete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
