The host coordinates the flow of guests into the dining room and bar areas and oversees guest reservations. The host continually exemplifies a spirit of cooperation and teamwork. The host team closely supports the management team to ensure performance is aligned with the goals and expectations of Fleet Landing.
Requirements:
- Ability to always be on time
- A neat, groomed, and professional personal appearance
- A polite and professional demeanor and an ability to stay calm under pressure
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent phone and communication etiquette
- Ability to work on your feet for up to twelve hours and lift up to 25 lbs
- Organized and able to multi-task with attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and a genuine appreciation for creating excellent service experiences
- General knowledge and ability to use computers, tablets, apps, etc. including OpenTable, Microsoft Office, POS, and any other software used to complete job tasks

Key Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Ensures there is always someone present at the door
- Warmly and graciously greets all guests that walk in the door and thanks all guests as they leave
- Creates and fosters loyal relationships with returning guests
- Performs all duties outlined in the checklists such as checking voicemails, returning phone calls, updating voicemail messages, and updating scheduling with the reservation system
- Learns the menu and can answer guest questions regarding the menu and daily specials
- Speaks with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, responds to complaints, or makes conversation.
- Maintains contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and guests to ensure excellent dining experiences
- Inspects restrooms for cleanliness and availability of supplies and cleans restrooms when necessary
- Shows respect and empathy to all team members and always portrays a positive attitude
- Follows directives of the management team and exemplifies a spirit of cooperation and teamwork
Salary : $15 - $26
