Your Opportunity
We are seeking an Activity Coordinator (Tuesday through Saturday 8am-4:30pm) whose primary responsibility for the organization of an activities program which includes group and individual activities for each Resident of the Assisted Living Facility. Assisting with activities in the Health Center when needed or scheduled. Accountable for the quality of programs in compliance with legal mandates. Ensure overall compliance with all legal and company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plans and posts monthly activity calendar which provides purposeful activities suited to Resident needs/interests.
- Supervises activities which are executed by other personnel and volunteers.
- Insures adherence to standards and legal regulations as they pertain to activities and to the policy and procedures of Fleet Landing.
- Maintains a calm, stable, and professional manner at all times.
- Listens to and is responsible for the needs of the staff as well as residents, families, and volunteers.
- Communicates through appropriate channels.
- Adheres to procedures and protocols as established by policy.
- Listens to complaints and problems dealing with activities; seeks alternatives and takes action towards resolution.
- Identifies situations or problems that need to be resolved and refers them to the Assisted Living Manager.
- Develops concerned rapport with residents and families; keeps them informed about progress.
- Identifies activity needs in terms of personnel, supplies, equipment, etc. for realistic budget planning.
- Identifies strengths and areas for improvement in self; sets goals for professional growth and development.
- Is open to new ideas; with approval tries innovative approaches to activities.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education Required:
High school diploma or College degree preferred.
High school diploma or College degree preferred.
Experience:
Three years experience in a social or recreation program within the last 5 years, 1 yr. of which as full-time in a Resident activities program in a health care setting. At least 1 year of job related supervisory experience preferably in a senior living environment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn new applications.
