Job Summary
The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for the company’s daily recruitment and selection efforts, to ensure attraction and retention of the highest quality candidates in alignment with organizational needs. This role will ensure compliance with federal, state and local requirements within the talent acquisition process. The Recruiting Specialist will work with department leadership to establish and execute best practices within the hiring process and will support candidates throughout their preemployment experience with Fleet Response.

The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Talking : Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Hearing : Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.
Repetitive motions : Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
This role requires regular on-site attendance, minimum 1 day per week, at the company headquarters in Hudson, Ohio with a potential need for periodic local travel to attend events aligned with recruiting initiatives.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Fulfill the recruiting lifecycle, helping leadership to recruit, screen, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open exempt and non-exempt positions.
- Manage job postings and applicant review within applicant tracking system.
- Conducts weekly meetings with department leadership to understand current and future staffing needs.
- Proactively source qualified candidates for open positions while managing job postings and advertisement processes.
- Collaborates with department managers and HRBP to identify skills and competencies required for openings and draft detailed job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials. Attending and conducting interviews with leadership as needed.
- Actively communicate recruiting status updates to candidates, hiring managers, and leadership as required.
- Grow and foster relationships with schools/institutions to develop a talent pipeline of qualified candidates. Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Partner with the hiring manager and/or other human resource team in facilitating preemployment candidate communications including extension of the employment offer, background screening, onboarding and any other pertinent details throughout the pre-employment process.
- Proactively seek ongoing knowledge and expertise in the talent acquisition environment, staying up to date on current workforce trends; share expertise with others.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- This position is an individual contributor role with no supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
Qualifications

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years of professional office experience.
- Recruiting experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Talent acquisition/recruiting credential highly desirable.
- Familiarity with general business management functions. Proven ability to work cross-functionally within an organization, particularly with leadership or at an executive level.
- Applicant tracking system experience preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret accounting spreadsheets.
- Ability to read and write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to communicate effectively in multiple forms of communication (i.e. telephone, email, etc)
- Demonstrates leadership skills consistently, embraces an inclusive and diverse environment as well as a mindset of growth and learning.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
