Job Summary
The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes supervising a team of employees, managing inventory, and coordinating with other departments to meet customer demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pull and organize orders from the warehouse by part number and quantity as directed by picking tickets in priority assigned.
- Create detailed schedules to ensure all inbound and outbound shipments meet specifications.
- Develop labor requirements needed and train new employees on equipment and facilities utilization.
- Pack, label, and ship customer orders via various carriers.
- Ensure stock is pulled and loaded into delivery vehicles with accompanying documents, maintaining a 99% accuracy rate.
- Coordinate manpower requirements to meet changing conditions.
- Interface with other departments to ensure timely completion of Inbound and Outbound deadlines.
- Develop process plans for each distribution receipt, including personnel, resources, equipment, and floor space.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet departmental schedules.
- Suggest changes to increase efficiency and motivate workers to achieve goals.
