Description:
As a Field Service Technician you are responsible for traveling to different work sites to troubleshoot and service customer's windows and doors.
- Driving to and from job sites and / or service locations.
- Loading all parts and tools needed for the scheduled jobs into the company service trucks.
- Responsible for the carrying out all tasks involved with fulfilling a warranty claim
- Planning for and obtaining all parts necessary for the completion of the job (this is to include inspecting for quality and correct fabrication).
- Performing warranty services which may include replacement, repair, and maintenance of company product.
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date records on vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records requested from management
- Performs minor maintenance tasks on assigned vehicle as required
- Responsible for operating assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner
- Communicates any scheduling issues and / or changes in advance with the field service leadership
- Relays any equipment or resource needs to the Field Service Manager.
- Follows Field Service Appointment Procedure
- Submits Field Report as defined in the Field Report Procedure
Must be available to travel within California, as well as out of state, when required (Flying may be required).- Must be able to read, write, and understand English and to clearly communicate over the telephone, Spanish speaking a plus
- Must have and maintain a valid California Driver’s License with an exceptional driving record
- Must have ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs
- Must have good customer service skills
- Must possess advanced company product knowledge
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50-75 pounds
- Must be able to stand for a long period of time
- Must maintain a presentable appearance and demeanor
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to operate an iPad, navigation system, and company cell phone
