We are currently looking for an experienced Project Assistant to join our Danville, Indiana office who will best support our clients, co-workers, and Core Principles - “understand our customers and satisfy their needs, do what we say we are going to do, and Have Fun!”
The ideal candidate will be eager to grow and learn, proactive, and passionate about supporting rural communities. They may assist in developing preliminary engineering reports, provide administrative and project support, and leverage their writing skills to proof documents. Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative project support to the members of their team and serves as the meeting coordinator for client, team and/or office meetings;
- Creates and composes administrative correspondence and technical documents with thorough audit and application of formatting, grammar, spelling and punctuation;
- Assist with all aspects of a project (i.e., proposals, service agreements, sub-contractor coordination, reports, specifications, bidding, contract documents, construction, meeting agendas and minutes, etc.);
- Generate monthly reports for department and senior leadership;
- Help ensure effective and efficient workflow;
- Manage deadlines and tracks important dates;
- Administrative duties also include, expense reports, help to manage multiple calendars, make travel arrangements, assist with setting up office party events;
- General duties include answering phones, mailing, supplies, and facilities management;
- Promote F&V’s culture and a positive image of the firm.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree with 3 years’ experience or 5 years of administrative office experience preferred;
- Experience in engineering, or similar field strongly desired;
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities while meeting deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Detail oriented, self-motivated team player
- Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Report writing and developing charts, graphs, and presentations
- Key personal qualities include professionalism, resourcefulness, creative, attentive to detail & follow-up
- On occasion, may need to work outside of normal business hours
