This position provides the opportunity to focus on media relations strategies and execution that result in high-quality placements for leading top-tier clients. You will join multi-office teams in developing and executing integrated campaigns and storytelling initiatives for a variety of brands with a focus on the Retail, Lifestyle and Sports sector. Responsibilities
- Provide proactive client counsel and creative ideas for how to meet business objectives goals through communications.
- Partner with account leadership to develop and support integrated public relations programs that compel audiences to act.
- Develop and execute high-quality consumer and trade media programs at the national, regional and local levels, including product launches, events and experiences, human interest stories and brand narratives.
- Identify, cultivate and manage media relationships with local, regional and national media across industries including lifestyle, sports, retail and marketing media.
- Lead and sustain high-impact news engines fueled by seasonal outreach, long-lead editorial and opportunistic story ideas.
- Uncover trends and creative storytelling opportunities that leverage culturally relevant moments.
- Leverage journalistic news sense to develop and edit high-quality written materials, including creative content, communications plans, thoughtful pitch narratives and expert advice.
- Investigate emerging PR technologies and platforms to uncover opportunities for ongoing media relations innovation.
- Constantly mine for and share client and competitor activity to ensure FleishmanHillard delivers game-changing ideas and solutions.
- Oversee and engage junior team members who are part of an account’s media relations team. Provide oversight and coaching as appropriate.

The anticipated U.S. salary range for this position is $58,000 - $82,000.
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off and / or other benefits also are available.
