Computer Maintenance Technician
Fleming County Schools seeks a skilled and technical individual to perform various duties related to the installation, repair, alteration and maintenance of end-user devices, printers, peripherals, security hardware, and network equipment.
- Maintain cable and wireless network diagrams for school area networks.
- Install information technology hardware systems and software, including upgrades and enhancements.
- Perform preventative maintenance on district technology devices and network equipment.
- Model legal use of software/network resources and encourage adherence to Acceptable Use Policy.
- Use systems integration programs and platforms to enhance user experience.
- Provide assistance, information, and technical expertise to faculty, administrators, and students regarding safe operation, care, and maintenance of district technology resources.
- Maintain records of equipment and network repairs.
Key qualifications include: 2 years of college-level coursework in computer science and 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing computers and related equipment. Performance will be evaluated in accordance with board policy for classified personnel.
