FGA is looking for an experienced Lead and Intermediate OEM GM Controls engineer that has a drive to advance their career to the next level. An ideal candidate will be a Controls engineer that has a proven track record with General Motors projects.
Job Description:
- Powertrain, Body or Battery Shop Experience
- Lead GM Controls project Engineer
- Lead a team of Controls Engineers
- Building our customer relationships
- Timesheet and Expense approvals
- Assist with electrical and software design when required.
- Start-up, debug and troubleshooting of robotic automation equipment at the Build Shop and customer's site.
- Throughput enhancement at customer's site.
Qualification and Experience:
- Senior Lead Controls Engineer 8 years
- Intermediate Controls Engineer 3 years
- Thorough knowledge of PLC, HMI and Robotic integration utilizing Control Logix and/or Siemens controls hardware.
- Extensive commissioning experience.
- Hardware and Software design experience.
- Body Shop experience is a definite asset.
- Safety Commissioning
- GM GCCS2, GCCH1 certified
- Green Lock
- Position requires travel to customer's locations.
Requirements:
- up to 90% Travel required
- Valid North American Passport (Can, US, Mex)
- Degree or cedula (MEX)
- Proficient English Required* (Conversational)
