Physical Therapy Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in providing high-quality patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive the support they need during their rehabilitation journey. The Physical Therapy Aide will work closely with patients, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing their recovery experience through exceptional service and care.

Duties

• Assist physical therapists in preparing treatment areas and equipment for patient sessions.
• Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks, ensuring proper technique and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment.
• Light house keeping.
• Provide excellent patient service by greeting patients warmly and addressing their needs.
• Support the implementation of treatment plans as directed by licensed physical therapists.
• Engage in continuous learning about anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques to enhance patient care.
• Some front desk activities like signing in of patients.
• Other tasks as needed during down time.

Experience

• Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Knowledge of exercises is beneficial for understanding treatment protocols.
• Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient care environments is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on patient service and care.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while demonstrating compassion for patients undergoing rehabilitation.
