Maintenance Supervisor
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will oversee and participate in the needs of the warehouse in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery, facilities, and equipment. The Maintenance Supervisor will serve as a lead over one or more assigned warehouse functions while providing training, direction and guidance to team members.
Duties and Responsibilities – General
· Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment that complies with safety standards
· Directs and completes the repair and maintenance of production equipment and machinery
· Plans and conducts facility shutdowns for facilities and equipment maintenance
· Responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance
· Responds to warehouse and/or facility emergencies to maintain output
· Purchase replacement parts and maintain a spare parts inventory of critical machine parts
· Resolve issues related to damaged goods, delays, or missing inventory
· Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
· Ensures fast reaction and responses to repair calls/equipment breakdowns and timely repairs to minimize downtime
· Adheres to all SOPs
· Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2-3 years of experience in a lead position within a 3PL warehouse environment
- 2-3 years forklift experience, with certification
Physical and Environmental Elements:
· Must be able to walk or stand for prolonged periods of time
· Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that is subject to ambient temperature conditions
· Must be able to work flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
· Employee must stand and/or walk for approximately 8 hours per shift. This position bends, stoops, reaches, pulls, pushes, climbs and lifts up to 50 lbs.
