Scope:
This role oversees the design, construction, and implementation of welding and assembly equipment at our plants and suppliers' locations. The Automation Program Manager serves as an expert in automation and assembly systems, directing activities concerned with the implementation of assembly tooling to fulfill production requirements for new and existing programs and product launches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development of Methods and Procedures: Develops methods and procedures for the implementation of assembly tooling and welding equipment within specified parameters.
- Program Management: Directs program activities pertaining to assembly equipment and coordinates with other program managers responsible for the project.
- Vendor Management: Reviews and approves assembly tooling vendors' proposed designs, processes, and follows equipment through all phases of development.
- Customer Satisfaction: Works with other program managers to ensure equipment satisfies internal and external customers' requirements.
