Scope of the Position :
The Manager_EE primary responsibility will be leading and developing the electronics engineering team of Electrical Engineering, Embedded Software Engineering, Electronics Computer Aided Design, Mechatronics, Functional Safety, EE Lab Services. The Manager_EE will be responsible for directing, coordinating and exercising authority for planning, organization, leadership and completion of global electronics engineering projects across Flex-N-Gate.
Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities
- Analyze electronics and software technology, resources and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
- Analyze and solve engineering-related problems with the assistance of subject matter experts within and external to department.
- Direct, review, and approve product design releases and change requests. Coordinates all customer and internal engineering changes
- Monitor progress against project schedules and budgets; recommend allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals
- Develop, implement and improve policies, standards, templates and procedures for the electronics engineering department
- Develop evaluation criteria that will serve to measure progress and effectiveness of departmental operations
- Review department objectives for adequacy and consistency with organization and corporate objectives
- Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness
- Responsible for assisting in interviewing, hiring and training employees
- Oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
- Promote and enforce a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with applicable legislation and company policies and procedures.
