Molding Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Overview

The Molding Manufacturing Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of production schedules and daily work assignments. This individual must be shop floor-oriented, providing hands-on product/process support to team members on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate, train, guide, and coach employees to optimize team efforts in manufacturing high-quality products.
• Mentor and develop employees by evaluating interpersonal skills, providing feedback, and recommending methods for improvement.
• Schedule and assign personnel according to manufacturing demands.
• Assess equipment capacity and materials supply limitations to optimize manufacturing output.
• Match employee abilities with required capabilities on the manufacturing floor.
• Monitor and track output, manufacturing processes, labor efficiencies, direct operating expenses, and quality indicators for assigned cost centers.
• Measure performance and quality.
• Drive positive results in operational Key Process Indicators.
• Establish working relationships with other departments to meet production schedules.
• Collaborate with the Management Team to review production results and improvement priorities.

Requirements

• 1-3 years' experience in leadership roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, Labor Laws.
• Conflict Resolution Management, Time Management.
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, problem-solving, teamwork, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Effective use of technology, instruments, tools, and information systems.
• Ability to lead a team approach.
• Ability to provide guidance and direction as needed.
• Ability to set direction, make decisions, and oversee operations with minimal supervision.
• Computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite.
• Ability to deliver business results independently or through others.
