Flex-O-Glass is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineering Intern for the Summer of 2025. This hands-on internship provides an opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or Plastics to gain practical experience in plastics manufacturing, process optimization, and machinery/facility maintenance. The intern will work closely with our Plant Engineer to design and implement new equipment, processes, and maintain the existing facilities and machines.

Responsibilities (Under Supervision as Needed):
- Assist with special projects in the production department, including machinery startup/training procedures and process optimization.
- Assist with identifying and implementing building maintenance projects and machinery maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Troubleshoot existing processes to reduce downtime, improve quality, and enhance productivity.
- Assist with safety procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Support Capital Expenditure projects, including machine layouts, utility drawings, and supplier coordination.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree (or higher) program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or Plastics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar design software is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
