Location Requirements : Mostly on-site with one day / week virtual
Rate : $150-175K annual salary plus full benefits package including health insurance, disability, life insurance, 401k, PTO, and holidays
Job Description : The VP of Accounting and Operations is a Senior Executive role reporting to the CEO. The job involves performing all the company's accounting functions and other operational duties such as payroll, subcontract administration, funding, 401K administration, and human resources. This person is responsible for the overall management of the company's accounting, operations, security, and compliance.
Responsibilities :
- Manage a small team to help facilitate security clearances, payroll, insurance, funding, accounts receivable, insurance, and other financial transactions
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory registration and tax requirements
- Subcontract and service agreement review and negotiation
- Process internal payroll – QuickBooks and ADP
- Expense processing and payments
- Oversee and manage audits
- Coordinate work and resources to meet reporting and contract deadlines
- Understand and work with insurance brokers to manage company benefits and renewals
- Security Clearance compliance
- Lead or participate in special projects and initiatives as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting OR CPA preferred
- Accounting, tax and financial analysis, reporting, filing, and compliance
- Experience in bookkeeping, contract administration, funding, payroll, 401K and business operations
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with team and customers
- Strong in accounting detail, statements, and reconciliations
- Proven ability to partner with senior management to provide insights and recommendations on financial strategy and business operations
- Due to Federal Government Security Clearance Requirements : U.S. Citizenship and clearable to obtain DOD Secret and above
