What are the responsibilities and job description for the MACHINE CREW LEADER (201735) position at Flex-Staff, Inc.?
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate workload for machine operations along with informing supervisors about any issues
- Walk length of machines to ensure it is ready to run
- Monitor glue levels; maintain a clean and efficient glue system
- Check calipers and adjust lengths as needed.
- Set up computer for daily workload, maintain production reports, and document data collection
- Consistently communicate with supervisors and crew members
- Maintain and organize sample racks
- Other duties as assigned:
- Assist in all phases of machine and department operation as needed for breaks, changes, or special projects
- Keep up to date with any ongoing machine improvements
- Maintain cleanliness to ensure safety of all personnel
General Information:
Hours: 2:00pm-10:00pm, Monday-Friday
Training could be on any shift - so must be flexible for at least 4-6 weeks
1st is Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:00pm,2nd is 2:00pm-10:00pm, Monday-Friday, 3rd is 10:00pm-6:00am, Sunday-Thursday

Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Proficient in using a computer
- Ability to work in a faster-paced work environment
- Must be comfortable standing for eight-plus hours at a time along with bending, twisting, rotating, stoop, kneel and/or crouch; regularly lift up to 25 lbs., frequently lift 50lbs, and/or move up to 100lbs occasionally.
- Excellent problem-solving skills along with high attention to detail
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
- Compute rate, ratios percentages along with understanding bar graphs and charts
- Flexible in working overtime
