Controls Engineer – Automation, Commissioning & Debugging

SCHEDULE : -Saginaw from ~March thru July, and @Customer (North Carolina) from ~August thru End of Year.

We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team, specializing in industrial automation, PLC programming, commissioning, and debugging . This role involves designing, developing, and troubleshooting control systems for a variety of automated manufacturing and industrial processes .

Responsibilities :

• Design and implement PLC-based control systems for industrial automation.
• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot HMI (Human-Machine Interface) and SCADA applications.
• Perform commissioning and debugging of automated systems on-site.
• Program and optimize robotic systems, motion controls, and servo drives .
• Conduct system integration, testing, and validation to ensure performance meets project requirements.
• Work with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts to support system development.
• Troubleshoot control circuits, sensors, and communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet / IP, Modbus, Profibus ).
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to enhance system functionality.
• Provide technical support and documentation for installed systems.
• Travel to client sites for installation, commissioning, and support as required.
