Electrical Engineer – Contract Position
Position Overview
Seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical schematics, layouts, and bills of materials for custom automation, robotics, and industrial processes . This role involves preparing electrical diagrams , conducting design calculations , and ensuring compliance with electrical codes . The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineers and design staff , maintain safety standards , and contribute to efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer specifications, vendor quotes, and technical drawings to create accurate electrical designs .
- Update designs and AutoCAD drawings based on customer change orders .
- Perform design calculations to support product specifications .
- Develop electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and pneumatic schematics using AutoCAD .
- Ensure electrical code compliance in all drawing packages .
- Assist with equipment installation and troubleshooting as needed.
- Communicate project progress to department leadership.
