Electrical Technician – Special Machine Shop & Automation Wiring
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Technician to support automation wiring and electrical control systems for specialized machine shop projects. This role involves wiring tools, ensuring proper control system functionality, and troubleshooting servo drives, pneumatic commands, and heating solutions. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with alignment systems, industrial wiring, and control debugging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wire and debug automation cells, ensuring proper connectivity and system integration.
- Interpret and work from electrical schematics to wire machines accurately.
- Troubleshoot and configure servo drives, motors, and VFDs to ensure optimal performance.
- Install and run conduit (rigid, EMT, cable trough/tray) in compliance with NEC and IEC standards.
- Work with 24V DC control circuits, 120V circuits, and 480V/277V circuits.
- Assist with alignment system wiring, pneumatic control commands, and heating solution projects.
- Ensure compliance with UL/CE standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to optimize system functionality.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 years of electrical/control debugging experience, including machine and automation cell wiring.
- 3 years of experience with servo drives, motors, and VFDs.
- 2 years of experience installing and running rigid, EMT, and cable tray conduit.
- Strong understanding of NEC and IEC standards.
- Experience with UL/CE standards is a plus.
- Familiarity with PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley) is highly preferred.
- Background in special machine shops (e.g., Kimastle, COE Press) is highly desirable.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
- 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with weekend overtime available.
- Competitive pay based on experience—candidates with a higher skill set will be considered.
