EPLAN Electrical Designer – Automation
We are seeking a highly skilled EPLAN Electrical Designer with expertise in automation to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing electrical control systems using EPLAN P8 while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using EPLAN Electric P8.
- Collaborate with automation engineers, controls engineers, and project teams to create efficient electrical designs for industrial automation systems.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, NEC, and UL standards for electrical control panels and automation systems.
- Develop bill of materials (BOM) and support procurement for electrical components.
- Optimize cable routing, terminal block arrangements, and overall electrical panel layouts.
- Provide technical support for PLC integration, motor control systems, and field wiring.
- Troubleshoot and revise electrical drawings to accommodate design changes or field modifications.
- Work closely with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure seamless implementation of control systems.
- Maintain EPLAN databases, create macros, and implement best practices for efficient electrical design.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience with EPLAN Electric P8 for electrical design and schematic development.
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation, control systems, and electrical engineering principles.
- Familiarity with PLC wiring, motor controls, relay logic, and field instrumentation.
- Understanding of control panel design, power distribution, and circuit protection.
- Proficiency in interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, and electrical drawings.
- Experience working with manufacturing automation, robotics, and industrial machinery is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with EPLAN Pro Panel, AutoCAD Electrical, or other electrical design software is an advantage.
