We are currently seeking candidates to fill a Data Governance Manger role. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail orientated Data Governance Manager to join our dynamic Finance and Accounting team in Spencer MA. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing the data governance framework within the organization. This role ensures data integrity, quality, and security, facilitating effective data management practices and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Data Governance Manager collaborates with various departments to establish data standards, policies, and procedures, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data governance capabilities
What will you do in this role?
- Data Governance Framework: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive data governance framework for the ERP system, including policies, standards, and procedures.
- Data Quality Management: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all ERP modules by implementing data quality controls and monitoring mechanisms.
- Data Security and Compliance: Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Drive collaboration with business units, IT, and other stakeholders to understand data needs, prioritize and resolve data issues, and promote data governance best practices. Develops and delivers organizational communications on Data Governance.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on data governance policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Data Stewardship: Establish and manage a network of data stewards across the organization to support data governance initiatives and ensure accountability for data quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance data governance capabilities and efficiency.
- Reporting and Metrics: Develop and maintain data governance metrics/KPIs and reports to track progress, identify issues, and support decision-making.
- Other duties consistent with the general nature and focus of the position and/or the goals and objectives of the department may be assigned.
What does it take to be successful in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, with a focus on ERP systems.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle or similar), data management tools, and data quality software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
