What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering - Compliance Specialist position at Flexfab?
The Compliance Specialist is responsible for providing operational support to the business wide environmental and export compliance and tooling control programs. Follow, procedures and guidelines to ensure governmental and industrial regulations are met by our products in the country of production and all destination countries as well as support audits of customer owned tooling. Ensure proper reporting, record keeping mechanisms and product reviews are executed.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Validates the quality and accuracy of material and substance composition data provided by suppliers and external organizations.
Execute campaign programs on a timely basis with supply base in order in ensure compliance with current and updating compliance programs.
Respond to customer inquiries and requests for evidence of compliance, including customer specific programs.
Consults with Engineering and Research and Development in new product development regarding compliance with regulations.
Identifies areas of non-compliances and works with Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing for resolution.
Responsible for continuous monitoring of existing export declarations and substance change management.
Supports maintenance of tooling records and execution of audits.
Provide secondary support as necessary for Document Control activities
Will have contact with several customers including: Purchasing, Quality, Sales, Engineering, and Research and Development, Information Technology, Tool Room, Suppliers, Customers, Regulatory Agencies
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Experience with Flexfab PLM and ERP systems preferred.
Experience with the following, IMDS, RoHS, REACH, Prop 65, Conflict Minerals, USMCA, AD-DSL, UNIFE preferred.
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills, and strong attention to detail.
