Our PCB / CAD Designers are responsible for reviewing & editing CAD data for manufacturing flexible circuits, rigid flex circuits and assemblies. This position requires you to work on a variety of projects to include reviewing customer design files, updating revision changes, requests from manufacturing for a design change to improve manufacturing and/or design from schematic. Can be a demanding environment, where our CAD Designers must multitask; given multiple projects that they are assigned to support.

Job Description
Our PCB / CAD Designers are responsible for reviewing & editing CAD data for manufacturing flexible circuits, rigid flex circuits and assemblies. This position requires you to work on a variety of projects to include reviewing customer design files, updating revision changes, requests from manufacturing for a design change to improve manufacturing and/or design from schematic. Can be a demanding environment, where our CAD Designers must multitask; given multiple projects that they are assigned to support.
Responsibilities include:
- Review customer prints and Gerber files to ensure they meet manufacturing and IPC requirements.
- Create flexible printed circuit board designs and files to meet engineering and customer requirements. This can include design from concept, design from schematic and/or working from customer prints or files.
- Collaborate with Customers, internal FCT Application Engineers, internal local and offshore Manufacturing Engineers to optimize the design of Flexible PCB and assemblies.
- Review mechanical designs for manufacturing to include flexible circuit requirements and assembly requirements.
- Prepare and document changes to customer prints and files. Works with FCT Application Engineers, Customers and Manufacturing Engineers to finalize designs for manufacturing.
- Reviews and answers manufacturing questions related to files and design.
- Works with Engineering assistant on Bill of Material (BOM) requirements.
- Researches and saves component information for assembles related to manufacturing of assembly projects.
- Minimum - 2 years focused on-the-job PCB design/layout experience.
- PCB designers should have IPC CID or CID certification or the desire to obtain one of the certifications. Equivalent certifications considered.
- Working experience with CAD software: Altium, SolidWorks, Infinite Graphics Par, or other
- Working knowledge of IPC standards for PCB industry – preferred.
- Working knowledge of Flexible PCB materials, properties, and abilities – a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
