Baton Rouge, LA : Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects from ground up to post construction closeout. The superintendent will be responsible for all on-site operations, managing subcontractors and directly supervising the field workers, taking the project from start to finish. Candidate must have an absolute commitment to safety, strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
What You Will Do :
Oversee all construction trades and subcontractors on-site, verifying that their work aligns with project specifications, contractual obligations, and quality standards.Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and building regulations, documenting activities in daily reports, safety logs, and material tracking records.Review ongoing work to confirm adherence to design, material, and quality specifications, promptly addressing any deviations.Coordination and scheduling of all Subcontractors and / or VendorsMaintaining inventory and efficient management control of tools and equipmentConduct regular progress and / or coordination meetings with trade subcontractorsInterface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, government officials, etc.Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specificationsWrites daily logs and other necessary documentation.Makes sure all local, state, and national business codes and regulations are followed.Ensures that the team adheres to all company policies and safety protocols.What We Need from You :
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial projectsKnowledge and experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, requires applicants to be of able body to assist in performing certain portions of the work, and to manage and schedule subcontractorsKnowledge of subtrades such as dry wall, HVAC, plumbing, etc., and how it relates to the ground up or renovation projects.Experience with framing metal buildings is a huge plus!Knowledge of concrete formingDemonstration of strong organization and problem-solving skills.Excels at motivating a team and has strong management skills.Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable.What You Get :
