Forensic Structural Engineer
Overview :
All Markets in Louisiana : Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is on the lookout for Civil & Structural Forensic Engineers across the U.S. who possess the expertise to analyze various residential and commercial building failures and pinpoint causation. This role is ideal for professionals who excel in writing professional, concise reports and hold a Professional Engineering License (P.E.). Our engineers play a crucial role in inspecting buildings to identify the root causes of damages stemming from a wide range of factors including improper design, construction flaws, storm damage, misuse, neglect, and intentional harm.
Primary Function :
As a Civil & Structural Forensic Engineer with FTS, you will conduct thorough inspections of various buildings to assess and determine the cause of damages. Your findings will contribute significantly to understanding and rectifying structural vulnerabilities, enhancing safety and compliance across residential and commercial properties.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Inspect buildings to evaluate damage and identify causation linked to a range of factors.
- Produce professional, concise reports detailing findings and recommendations.
- Engage in forensic engineering to analyze building failures.
- Conduct assessments related to storm damage, residential and commercial construction flaws, code violations, and more.
- Participate in expert witness testimony, providing reliable, expert opinions in legal contexts.
- Travel within the U.S., primarily same-day trips with occasional overnight stays.
