Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking to fill several Remote Field Service roles to perform and lead maintenance/service, repair, and overhauls of medium-speed diesel engines in the field. This role will work independently, or in a team. They will be responsible for implementing processes and procedures for servicing company supported products/equipment such as engines found in the marine and power plant markets. Remote or local candidates will be considered, and service areas of focus will be driven by experience.

This role will work independently, or in a team. They will be responsible for implementing processes and procedures for servicing company supported products/equipment such as engines found in the marine and power plant markets. Remote or local candidates will be considered, and service areas of focus will be driven by experience.
What You Will Do:
- Troubleshooting, Overhauling, Repairing 2 and/or 4-stroke Diesel engines and systems.
- Troubleshooting auxiliary systems and components including electronic engine monitoring and controls.
- Demonstrates high-level fault-finding capabilities and high-level understanding of systems and controls to the point of being able to deliver high level product instruction to customers and other employees.
- Can perform fault finding at the electrical and mechanical level, can read and interpret complex electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Has the ability to create and develop control system diagrams.
- Can be relied upon to train junior field service engineers in all aspects of site work.
- Can be relied upon to provide in-house support for system testing.
- Can be relied upon to provide a high level of TAG support identifying the correct product to meet the needs of the customer’s process.
- Has the ability to install and commission standard controls, small systems and actuation.
- Planning and preparing job scope, personal hand tools, special OEM tools, consumables, and materials.
- Addressing complaints, resolving problems, and completing work scopes on-site/onboard.
- Creating correct parts orders according to OEM standards.
- Managing the workflow and economics during field jobs, including showing flexibility on the job site when there are changes in work scope.
- All jobs must be documented in detailed reports with all measurements and activities included.
- Must report the work scope documentation in accordance with the manufacturer specifications and company ISO standards.

- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in similar role in the marine/offshore/power generation industry
- Experience with the following a major plus: Cummins (QSK, QSM series), Fairbanks Morse, EMD (645 & 710), Wartsila, MAK, Mitsu, Daihatsu, Hyundai, MAN, STX, etc.
- Familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- May lead and direct the work of others.
- Creative thinking, critical thinking, and ability to problem solves
- Technical Certificate or degree in area highly preferred
- Must be able to travel over 70% of the time.
- Able to read and understand instructional books and technical drawings written in English.
- Able to communicate professionally and effectively in English.
- Must be able to obtain TWIC, HUET, and other clearances/certificates required by US Government, Offshore Companies, or Ports.
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean MVR
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- All field and shop employees must complete a fit-for-duty pre-employment medical examination.
- Lifting to 50 pounds.
- The ability to stand for long periods and be comfortable kneeling, stooping and working in cramped and uncomfortable positions is required.
- Should be prepared to twist and turn the body often and must be open to working outdoors in various weather conditions.
